2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the pages, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable operation of the website). A data processing agreement is in place with STRATO.

3. Enquiry form and email

If you contact us via the form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, optional phone number, travel dates, number of guests, message) to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, prepare a booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data is sent to us by email and deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

To protect against misuse, the form sets a technically necessary session cookie that is deleted when you close your browser.

4. Online booking via Smoobu

Our booking pages (/buchen/, /it/prenota/, /en/book/) embed the booking calendar of Smoobu GmbH, Pappelallee 78/79, 10437 Berlin, Germany. When you open these pages, your IP address is transmitted to Smoobu so the calendar can be displayed. If you book, Smoobu processes your booking and contact details on our behalf; payment is handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (entering into and performing the contract). A data processing agreement is in place with Smoobu.

Smoobu synchronises availability with Airbnb and Booking.com. If you book via these platforms, their privacy policies also apply.

5. Area map (OpenFreeMap)

On the home page you can load an interactive map of our favourite places. The map is only loaded after you click "Load map". Only then is map data requested from the OpenFreeMap service of Hyperknot Software Kft. (Hungary); for technical reasons your IP address is transmitted to their servers or content delivery network. OpenFreeMap sets no cookies and, according to its own information, does not store IP addresses in its access logs. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). 6. No tracking or marketing services

This website uses no analytics or advertising tools. Apart from the booking calendar on the booking pages and the map (only after a click), no external content is embedded; fonts and scripts are loaded from our own server.

7. Guest data during your stay

Under Italian law (Art. 109 TULPS) we are required to report the identity details of all guests to the police (the "Alloggiati Web" portal) and to transmit statistical data to the Region of Tuscany. The data is used only for this purpose and deleted after the statutory periods expire.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
